STOP BULLYING

ullying is prevalent in the society (school, office and community)
today. It is the repeated and intentional use of physical/verbal force
and threat to abuse and intimidate others.

Though it is commonly found among school aged children, it has now
extended to the internet and it is now inclusive to all races and
ages. if it is not checked in time, it may have serious, lasting
problems on those who are bullied and those who bully others.

Bullying is divided into four basic types:

a) Verbal bullying: is saying or writing mean things. It includes:
teasing, name-calling, inappropriate sexual comments, threatening to cause harm.

b)Social bullying, sometimes referred to as relational bullying,
involves hurting someone’s reputation or relationships. It includes:
leaving someone out on purpose, telling other children not to be
friends with someone, spreading rumors about someone, embarrassing
someone in public.

c)Physical bullying involves hurting a person’s body or possessions.
It includes: hitting, pushing, taking or breaking someone’s things,
making mean hand gestures.

d)Cyberbullying involves using mobile technology to hurt others. It
includes sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false, or
mean content about someone else

Do you often find yourself in any of this category, then you need to
put a stop to it as you are hurting the other person’s feeling.

People who are bullied are more likely to experience depression,
health issues and lose interest in activities around them and evenContinue reading
